Levy Hearing Minutes

December 18, 2006

            The Levy Hearing of the Board of Education of Mendota Township High School District No. 280, LaSalle, Bureau, and Lee Counties, Illinois was held in the high school boardroom on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., pursuant to rule with a quorum present.

            President Bauer called the hearing to order.  On roll call the following members were recorded as present:  Vercimak, Burke, Flahive, Holdenrid, Strouss, and Bauer.

            Superintendent Prusator presented the Levy Overview. 

            President Bauer asked for questions or comments concerning the proposed levy.

Citizen Steve Carlson asked for an explanation of the change to EAV.  Prusator explained the increase in new construction and farm property values have contributed to the increase in EAV.

            With no further comments or questions; a motion was made by Bauer, seconded by Vercimak to adjourn the Levy Hearing.  Upon roll call the following vote was recorded:  Ayes:  Burke, Flahive, Holdenrid, Strouss, Vercimak, and Bauer.  Motion carried.
